SPECIAL NOTE FOR HONDA CB500X (2013-18) OWNERS:

After extensive trials we consider these are the most appropriate hand-guards to be fitted in conjunction with the Renthal 609 RC High Fat Bars and our Fat Bar Riser kit for the CB500X, as they still clear the screen in the lower position, at full lock.

However, should you wish to mount your screen in the upper position, we suggest you also use our CB Screen Spacer Kit to afford the necessary clearance at full lock.

In addition, when this universal mounting kit is fitted with the Renthal Fat-Bars, it is suggested that the bar clamps are used in the opposite orientation - ie. the Left clamp upside down on the right bar, the Right clamp upside down on the left bar (see their included instructions for similar Magura Bars for example) plus we recommend you also drill new 9mm holes 20mm inboard from the original holes in the back-bone, which allows the mounting brackets to fit more neatly around the CB500X front brake master cylinder and switchgear.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR BMW G310GS OWNERS:

After extensive trials we have found these are the ONLY hand-guards that successfully found work in conjunction with our recommended Renthal 609 RC HIGH Fat-Bars and our Fat-Bar Riser kit for the BMW G310GS when fitted with either our Sport Screen or our Adventure Screen and still clear the screen at full lock. However, please note, they are still likely to hit the edge of the OEM screen at full lock.

In addition, the very long OEM front brake and clutch levers on the G310GS do not fit inside the Barkbusters backbone. In this instance we suggest you trim the last 20mm off the levers (where the break-away slot is) and the file the cut end smooth. This will then allow the levers to fit behind the backbone for maximum protection.
