TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 400X / XC SHORT SIDESTAND

The Rally Raid Products Short Sidestand is a UK-made, direct replacement for the OEM sidestand on the Triumph Scrambler 400X and Scrambler 400XC when lowering the bike with the Rally Raid Suspension Scrambler 400X Low Shock. It comes in two lengths: -30mm for bikes lowered by 20–30mm, and -60mm for bikes lowered by 40–50mm. Once the bike has been lowered, the standard sidestand is too long and the bike parks too upright. A short sidestand restores the correct lean angle, so a lowered Scrambler 400X parks as securely as a standard one.

Why a lowered Scrambler 400X needs a shorter sidestand

Lowering the Scrambler 400X makes it easier to get your feet down, which is why many riders choose our Low Shock. The OEM sidestand, however, is sized for the factory ride height. When the bike sits lower and the stand stays the same length, the bike leans less on its stand. That makes it less stable when parked on a camber, in a strong wind, or if it gets knocked. Matching the stand length to your new ride height solves this.

Which length do I need?

-30mm: 30mm shorter than the OEM Scrambler 400X sidestand. Recommended when lowering the bike by 20–30mm with the Scrambler 400X Low Shock.
-60mm: 60mm shorter than the OEM Scrambler 400X sidestand. Recommended when lowering the bike by 40–50mm with the Scrambler 400X Low Shock.

Do I need a short sidestand if I fit the Scrambler 400X Low Shock?
Yes, we recommend it. Without one, the bike stands more upright on its stand and is easier to tip over.

Will it work on a standard-height Scrambler 400X?
No. On a bike at factory ride height, a shorter stand will make the bike lean over too far. Only fit it to a lowered bike.

Will the sidestand switch still work?
Yes. The stand is designed to work with the bike’s sidestand safety switch and reuses the OEM spring and pivot bolt.

Which variant should I choose?
