YAMAHA T7 SHORTER SIDE STAND

Our own design of a shorter, fabricated steel side stand, to replace the OEM alloy side stand for those T7 owners with lowered suspension.

Overall length is -30mm shorter than stock, and fits using the original pivot bolt and side stand switch/cover - see fitting instructions below.

This shorter stand allows for the bike to lean over more safely once lower suspension and/or a lowering link has been fitted - which is particularly important on uneven ground or when loaded with luggage, where it could otherwise tip over in the opposite direction with the longer OEM stand.

Another advantage for shorter riders is that now the bike leans over further with the new stand, it is much easier to swing your leg over the saddle when mounting or dismounting the bike.

Our side-stand kit comes complete with a new single coil side-stand spring which is 50% stronger than OEM to replace the weaker stock spring. Simple to fit, and supplied with spring puller tool and 10mm hex bit to remove rear pivot plate bolt - which can be difficult to access with a normal allen key when centre stand is fitted.
